Shariful Taher is a writer/director born and raised in New York City. His work includes the short films “Deceivers” and “Ghazi”, as well as commercials and music videos.

Inspired by his upbringing in an impoverished Brooklyn neighborhood, Shariful tells emotionally resonant stories that reflect the raw and gritty energy of urban life.

He’s the founder of Strada Couvert, a production company rooted in New York’s vibrant storytelling traditions and committed to creating bold and authentic narratives.

Shariful is currently writing and developing his debut feature film.
